I can't get enough of triangles

and there's ice, too

I've been wanting to try this for years

dyeing results

these are the results to the last dyeing I did about a week ago
I dyed over 13 yards of fabric that day
I'm always amazed at the results
these dyes at been in the frig for months and I had no idea how they were going to turn out

I have no firm plans for any of these pieces at this point

this piece started with a purple dye that lost some strength while in storage
this piece started with a deep blue dye that lost some strength while in storage
this piece started with a dark red that lost some strength in storage
I'm thinking about over dyeing this one
the last 4 were dyed in one container with the leftover dyes
they are awesome and will probably end up in a quilt together one day

delayed

I guess it should be the story of my life, delayed again. Life got in the way and I wasn't able to start dyeing Friday like I had hoped. I didn't have a plan in place. I hope to work some dyeing in next week. I need to come up with a plan first.

the red dye pot

This is the dye pot with all the pieces it it. I was really pleased with the results and I'll probably over dye the lightest piece. The following is the result from one of my stitching shibori samples. It was a running stitch and I don't think I got the thread tight enough.

This was an attempt of a scroll. I didn't get the stitches tight enough in the middle of the scroll. I do like the effect and I will try this one again.
The following is a close up of a white on white fat quarter.

This fat quarter turned out lighter than I wanted. I'm planning to over dye it.
These onesies and socks were dyed for our newest grandson. These are going to look great with jeans.
I have several of these tops and I like the way they fit.

I like having socks that match my tops.

This is my current favorite shirt. I have dyed several of them in various colors. These shirts are 95% rayon and 5% lycra. I love to wear them.

This is a close up the neckline.

coming soon Shibori!

I've been interesting in stitched shibori for some time. I have requested several books on it from my local library. I'm planning to start learning more about it. I'm hoping to make some stitching samples soon.
